I was trained by knights. I won't lose! I hate digging through histories for random terms characters use, so here's a short list for you: Adephagos: The calamity, a huge monster that attacked in ancient times when the aer became unbalanced. It was sealed with the life force of the Children of the Full Moon. Aer: Everything in Terca Lumereis (the name of the planet in ToV) is made up of aer. Aer is also what Blastia runs off of, and, in large quantities, can make people sick or even kill them. Aer Krenes are fountains that expel aer, and are located all over the world. When the aer becomes unbalanced, the Aer Krenes create even more aer, which causes Blastia to stop working or explode, and people to get sick. Apatheia: After an Entelexeia dies, the aer it holds within its body turns into a large, pretty jewel called an Apatheia. These are very powerful, and hold the Entelexeia's consciousness. Blastia: What runs the world in ToV. It creates barriers to keep monsters out of cities, creates clean water, and powers countless other things. Bohdi Blastia is a sort of tiny blastia that's used in battle to heal, cast offensive spells and perform special skills. Blastia cores are made up of Apatheia, and special Blastia called Hermes Blastia was created, but it used too much aer, much like the Children of the Full Moon. Child of the Full Moon: What Estelle is. Basically, she has the ability to use artes without a blastia, but this, in turn, uses up a ton of aer, unbalancing the Aer Krene which causes other Blastia to stop working, etc. The royal family's ancestors were all Children of the Full Moon, but Estelle is the only one who actually retains their powers. Dein Nomos: The crown jewel of the royal family. The new emperor or empress is whoever holds the sword, which supposedly proves they are of royal blood. It also has the ability to neutralized aer and render it harmless. Entelexeia: Super intelligent, super powerful and long-lived monsters. They have the same ability Dein Nomos does - they can neutralize aer and suck it into their bodies. Their job is to keep the aer of the world balanced. Spirits: Entelexeia reborn from Apatheia through Estelle's power and Rita's expertise. They stick with Estelle, allowing her to use artes without unbalancing the aer. There are four, one for each element, but Estelle only has Undine, the spirit of water. |
